A highly accomplished accountancy professional born in 1972, Ugwu is a seasoned financial expert with a strong record of excellence in audit, taxation, and financial management. He earned his Higher National Diploma (HND) in Accountancy from the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu, graduating in 1997. He qualified as a Chartered Accountant (ACA) in 2001 and was elevated to Fellow (FCA) status in 2015. He is also an Associate Member of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria (ACTI) and holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria.. Ugwu’s professional journey spans key roles across reputable organizations in both the public and private sectors. He began his career at NEPA, Sapele Power Station, Ogorode, Delta State, where he served as Accounting Officer during his NYSC in 1998. He subsequently joined Agochukwu Okplogbon & Co. (Chartered Accountants) as Audit Senior from 1999 to 2001, before moving to Chicasan Group, Lagos, where he served as Audit Manager between 2001 and 2003. From 2003 to 2006, he held the position of Manager at Nzekwe Ogbu & Co. (Chartered Accountants), further strengthening his expertise in audit and financial advisory. In 2006, he joined Aqua Rapha Investment Nigeria Limited as Financial Controller, where he provided strategic financial leadership and strengthened internal financial systems.
